House of Hazards takes a simple premise complete a list of household chores and turns it into one of the most chaotic local multiplayer experiences in a browser. Drink coffee, brush teeth, water the plants, collect the mail. Sounds manageable until the ceiling light drops on your head, the toaster launches bread at your face, and the person next to you triggers the tap at the exact wrong moment.
New Eich Games released it in September 2020, the same studio behind Rooftop Snipers and Getaway Shootout. The design philosophy is identical across all three minimal controls, maximum chaos, and a session structure short enough that the rematch starts before anyone has time to stop playing. Find it on classrooms-6x.com up to four players can be in a match within sixty seconds of loading.
Player 1 Controls
Player 2 Controls
Player 3-4 Controls (Gamepad needed)
The task list appears at the start of each round make coffee, brush teeth, water flowers, grab the mail. Each task has a physical location in the house that requires navigating through rooms full of hazards. Some hazards trigger automatically on a timer. Others are controlled by opposing players who press their action key to fire taps, drop lights, or launch toast at whoever is closest to completing their current task.
The sabotage layer is what makes the 2 player games format here different from most. It's not just surviving the house it's reading when the other player is about to complete something and activating the right hazard at the exact moment they can't dodge it. Timing the trap correctly matters as much as navigating the hazards yourself.
Multiplayer Mode is the main event up to four players competing to complete tasks first while actively triggering traps against each other. The session is loud, unpredictable, and almost impossible to stop at just one round.
Time Trial Mode strips the competitive layer away and puts one player against the clock. Complete all household tasks as fast as possible without opponents triggering hazards against you. The automatic hazards still fire the challenge is memorizing when and where they appear to route through the house cleanly. Spent a full Time Trial session just mapping the timing of the ceiling light before it clicked and the run finally went clean.
At the end of every multiplayer round, a wheel of fortune spins and applies a rule change to the next round reversed controls, extra traps, speed modifiers. The wheel keeps sessions from falling into a fixed pattern and guarantees the fourth round plays differently from the first.
Eight characters are available, starting with four default options Marissa, Jerry, Samantha, and a fourth regular character with Robo Rob, Buster, Rocking Grandma, Super Sam, and Dom unlocking through continued play. The unlocks are cosmetic but give longer sessions a secondary goal beyond just winning the round.
Tip 1: Learn the Hazard Timing First: Each room's automatic hazards fire on a predictable cycle. Time Trial mode is the fastest way to learn these without opponents interrupting. Knowing the ceiling light timing in the kitchen saves more rounds than any other single piece of knowledge.
Rule 2: Save Your Trap for the Last Second: Triggering a hazard the moment an opponent starts a task is easy to dodge. Wait until they're mid-animation on the task completion before activating the window to react is much tighter.
Step 3: Pick Up Knocked Opponents: When another player gets knocked out, you can pick up their limp body and lock it in a chest. This removes them from the round entirely rather than just slowing them down temporarily.
Tip 4: Crouch Through Low Hazards: The crouch button clears most low-level hazards sliding cabinet doors, the robot vacuum, water spray from the tap. Running through instead of crouching is the most common way to lose a round to an avoidable hit.
Rule 5: Watch the Wheel Actively: The end-of-round wheel result applies immediately to the next round. If reversed controls are coming, take ten seconds to mentally flip your input mapping before the round starts rather than spending the first fifteen seconds relearning movement.
