You're a tiny alien sprinting through floating tunnels in the middle of outer space. The platform ahead is crumbling. There's a gap coming. You jump and land perfectly on the wall, which is now the floor. That's Run 3, and it's been one of the most played browser games since it launched over a decade ago.
It looks simple. It is absolutely not simple.
Run 3 gives you two ways to play and both are equally addictive.
Explore Mode has 300+ levels laid out across a galaxy map. Each level is its own tunnel challenge with a specific layout, and finishing them unlocks more of the story and new paths to explore. This is where the game actually has depth.
Infinite Mode is pure survival. The tunnel generates randomly, gets faster the longer you survive, and ends the moment you fall off. No checkpoints, no second chances just you and an endless stream of increasingly brutal platforms.
The default character is a small grey alien the Runner who automatically sprints forward while you handle the steering and jumping. As you collect power cells scattered throughout levels, you unlock more characters, each with genuinely different abilities.
The Rabbit jumps higher. The Skater moves faster on flat surfaces. The Duplicator creates copies that help cross gaps. The character you pick actually changes how you approach difficult levels it's not just cosmetic.
Simple setup, but the wall mechanics take some getting used to:
That last one is the whole game. The ability to rotate the tunnel by running onto the walls opens up completely different routes through every level. Once that clicks, Run 3 transforms from a simple runner into a proper platformer with real problem-solving.
Run 3 Unblocked on Chromebook loads instantly in browser no downloads, no installs, works perfectly on school networks.
Early Explore Mode levels are generous wide platforms, forgiving gaps, room to breathe. The game eases you in and lets you learn the wall-running mechanic without punishing every mistake.
Then around level 20 the floor starts crumbling under your feet. Tiles disappear as you step on them so standing still is no longer an option. By level 50 you're dealing with narrow tunnels, moving platforms, and gaps that require you to rotate the world mid-jump to find a safe landing.
The 300+ level count isn't padding either each level has its own specific layout and challenge. Some require speed, some require patience, some require you to figure out a route before committing.
Throughout both modes you collect power cells glowing objects scattered across platforms. In Infinite Mode they're everywhere. In Explore Mode they're placed more deliberately.
These power cells are your currency for unlocking new characters. Each character changes the feel of the game enough that going back to Explore Mode with a new one can make previously difficult levels suddenly much easier. The Skater in particular is nearly broken on flat surfaces cover ground so fast it barely feels fair.
Play Run 3 at school and you understand immediately why it never left. Sessions can be 2 minutes or 20 Explore Mode gives you clear level goals for short breaks while Infinite Mode pulls you in for longer. There's always a reason to go back a level you couldn't beat, a character you haven't unlocked, a personal best to chase.
